What would I be doing?

You will be working as a Forklift Field Service Engineer and the role requires servicing, preventative maintenance and repairing material handling equipment on various customer sites. You will be diagnosing faults and repairing Gas, Diesel and Electric forklifts. You will be responsible for ensuring all documentation is completed to company standards, including internal documents and Health & Safety information. The role also involves providing clear information regarding equipment, service, repair or inspection status and to advise actions that may be required to maintain the equipment. You will also be liaising regularly with other departments within the business as well as customers, so excellent communication skills are a must.

The business sells, hires and maintains forklift trucks and customer service is of a high priority. The company will provide you with all the necessary support to be successful in your role and enable you to showcase your skillset.

What the company requires?

As a Field Service Engineer, you will have gained experience from a similar role and have an in-depth knowledge of forklift trucks and material handling equipment, including the below.

- In-depth mechanical and electrical experience including strong diagnosis and repair skills

- Experience in hydraulics, gas, diesel and electrical equipment

- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role is essential

All Service Engineers are expected to work to all Health & Safety procedures as well as company safe working practices. On a daily basis you will be required to update internal systems and conduct admin tasks promptly.
